Revlon Expression Experiment

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you like make up? Do you wear them?  I like make up and I do wear them. For me, make-up is one of those tool that enhances our beauty. It makes us look good and i belive that if we look good, we also feel good. It builds confidence to our personality. We are beautiful in our own ways.

I remember my younger sister had more beauty related products like  make up and nail polish than me. I myself sometimes borrowed things from her since I only owned lipstick and  pressed powder.  When I got in this country, watching videos on the internet was one of my past time hobby. One of my favorite to watch was make up and fashion videos! By that time, I got more interested and i learned more techniques on how to use them in a proper way.

Me as Princess Jasmine

Happy Halloween! I am dressing up as princess Jasmine from the movie Aladdin. Princess Jasmine is one of my favorite Disney princess. She's extremely beautiful and stunning. She's intelligent, brave, adventurous,  stubborn and caring. I love that she's wearing blue which is my favorite color. When we were at Disneyland, I got to meet Jasmin, Aladdin and the Genie for the first time and that was so magical! So I was inspired to dress up like her ;).

I looked online and the costume was a little bit pricey. I told myself I'm not gonna spend 50 bucks and wear it in one day. So I made my own costume ;). I spent under $25 for everything. The blue top shirt was $5 and the gold necklace is $3.99 from Wetseal that I got couple moths ago , gold earrings from Walmart for $4.99. The pants and headband were all DIY which cost me under $10.00.What do you think? Who/What were you on Halloween? Hope you had a wonderful time :).

My Aladdin was a little shy so he put some mask on and pretend to be a creeper in this pic...lol

Me with Disney Princesses

One of the reason why I love Disneyland and I consider it the happiest place on earth because you get to see these different characters that you saw on animated film  particularly the princesses on their lovely dresses and costumes.  I got to meet Princess Ariel, Belle, Jasmin, Snow White and Tiana.  I am lucky enough to have a picture of them together. Unfortunately, Cinderella and some of the princess are the ones that I haven't get a chance to meet. Now if you're one of these Disney Princess, who would you be?

Since Halloween is almost here, I am planning to dress up like one of the Disney princess. I'm thinking Jasmin, Pocahontas or Mulan this time. What do you guys think? Let me know and I will make it happen :).

Me with Princess Ariel from the animated film 'The Little Mermaid'.
Ariel is a bright, spirited mermaid who is also adventurous and stubborn. Her curiosity and love for adventure sometimes gets her into trouble. Usually, however, Ariel overcomes any obstacle she faces like she uses magic to change things.

Me and Princess Belle from the from animated fantasy film 'Beauty and the Beast'. Belle is stunningly beautiful. Her most elaborate and renowned is her golden ball gown as what you can see this photo. She has gained a significant amount of intelligence over the years due to her love of books, providing her with a wide vocabulary, active imagination, and open mind. She is very confident and outspoken in her opinions, and seldom likes being told what to do. Unlike most characters in the film, Belle isn't concerned about her's or others appearances, and is able to look past how people appear and into their hearts. This is how Belle managed to break the Beast's enchantment, and restore love and laughter to the castle.

Me and Princess Jasmin from the Disney film  'Alladin'. Jasmine is an extremely beautiful woman with lustrous black hair, big brown eyes, and a distinct hourglass figure. She is headstrong, and longs for the freedom. Jasmine can also be kind and caring, and is considered to be clever and intelligent. She shows a love for adventure, and often accompanies Aladdin on his journeys. She is shown to have excellent fighting skills, possibly learned by adventuring with Aladdin. She can hold her own in a fight, and displays some impressive fighting skill.

Me with Princess Snow White from the fairytale 'Snow white and the seven dwarfs' . She have a fair skin as white as snow, black hair and red lips. She is sweet, innocent, loving and kind. The "Fairest of Them All" who, in her innocence, cannot see any of the evil in the world. This makes her more vulnerable to her jealous stepmother the Queen who wishes to be the fairest in the land; however, Snow White's inherent kindness and purity inspire her friends. The forest animals and the Seven Dwarfs to protect her. She is both a protective mother figure and an innocent child in her relationship with the forest animals and the Seven Dwarfs.

Me and Princess Tiana from the animated musical fantasy film 'The Princess and the Frog'. She's the first Disney's African-American princess. I just love her character, she is smart, hard working and independent young woman. She has held a passion for the culinary arts ( like me ^_^ ) and works two jobs in order to save money and eventually open her own restaurant.

My Top 10 favorite rides at Disneyland Resort

When we were in Disneyland I got to experience different types of rides. I did pretty good considering it was my first time to ride most of them. I was pretty impressed with how much work and money they put into. Every detailed rides was just spectacular and very creative! No words can express how AMAZING my experience was! So below I listed my top ten favorite. So if you've been to Disneyland, what's you favorite ride of all? would love to read your comments ;).

1. Star Tours - my number one favorite ride of all where you just sit in just like a very small theater (maybe a capacity of 20- 25 people) and watch 3D movie however this ride takes you to a thrilling journey . With multiple storylines and locations, many different Star Tours adventures await you. Its like you're inside the airplane, spaceship or something. Riding once is not enough. Its just amazing and we rode a couple times!

2. Soarin' Over California - this is located in California Adventures in Disneyland resort. It is a mild and wild ride where in you are seated in a multi-passenger glider and lifted 40 feet into the air.  Swoop up and soar towards the clouds and see spectacular California landmarks. It feels like you are flying in the sky! If you're afraid of heights, this is not for you :).

3. Indiana Jones Adventure -maximum of 12-person troop transport for a fast-paced bumpy and thrill ride that realistically simulates driving fast over rough terrain. As you go through this expedition, you'll hear screaming undead mummies, see erupting lava, evil wraiths, giant snakes and pass a narrow collapsing bridges. This experience is really unique and exciting.

4. Pirates of the Carrabean - my very first ride in Disneyland. You're seated in a small boat and sailed like you're in the ocean. There are couple short drops but not too wild, and I love it! It is mild and fun for everyone. I love the smell and mist of the water, the music played  and the ambiance of the overall voyage.  Pirates are singing... ''yo ho yo ho, a pirates life for me''.

5. It's a Small World - a very relaxing and colorful ride. Embark on "the happiest cruise that ever sailed!" The tour delightful pastel scenes from around the globe, meet fantastical friends and sing along with a cherished Disney melody. "it's a small world" .  This song stuck in my head for couple days..lol. It's fun not just for little ones but also for adults like me ;).

The Pocketwatch

***This is a guest post written by Brandon M., I know him personally and I finally convinced him to post this here on my blog. A very wonderful ''short fictional story'' that makes you entertain for a minute. Enjoy :). ***
The Pocketwatch
 by: Brandon M.
Stepping out onto the porch, James McCullen sighed a weary sigh and stretched. It was five in the morning, 1930, and the sun had just started to rise over the horizon. A biting chill from the northwestern mid-morning air greeted his long face with a sting. He raised his lanky arms and rubbed his face, forcing his eyes into focus. He gazed out into the field in front of the farm; neatly tilled rows of brown earth that stretched as far as he could see. He stooped down as he ascended the stairs. Even though he was only 18, James was already 6'3', and had he not been homeschooled, he would have been a giant among his peers.
James felt along the pockets of his white button up shirt and blue overalls for the familiar bulge of his grandfather's pocketwatch. Finding it, he reached into his left pocket and pulled out the watch. It was pure gold, aged and knicked from years of use. An image of a farmhand was engraved on its front. He pressed the button on top and the watch face sprang open with a metallic "clank!". 5:05 A.M. He gently caressed the backside of the flap with one long finger, reading for the 100th time the strange numbers and symbols carved into it by his grandfather. A pair of lines and the word "302N". He never knew what it meant, as he had inherited it when his grandfather died.
The farm was miles from town, a long rectangle cut out of the edge of a forest. James' grandfather had built it from hand, which was many years of work. James could still remember pleasant summer evenings as a child, visiting his grandparents. He would sit on the stairs in front of the home, facing the field. His grandmother, who smelled faintly of the night's supper and fresh flowers, would bring him lemonade. Then, with a wisened smile warm enough to heat the entire valley, disappeared into the house, her grey dress fading into the darkness. His grandfather would work the field until nightfall. He was a large man, broad shouldered and sinewy from years of hard labor. His skin was leathery and wrinkled from years under the sun, with greying hair stuffed underneath a soiled hat. His movements were purposeful yet tired, the movements of someone entering their twilight years. James would spend hours watching his grandfather, smelling the sweet earthy air, the complete silence of country life only broken by the occasional raven or the heavy rap of his grandfather's rake on the soil. Rows and rows of vegetables stretched into the horizon, so many James often wondered how grandma and grandpa managed the work by themselves.
James could remember one evening most vividly. He was about 9 years old, and the oppressive sun had finally retreated beyond the horizon, and his grandfather had finished the days' chores. James was sitting in the same spot on the porch stairs, as he had so many nights before. His grandfather came trudging toward the house, a slight limp in his left leg. Smiling wearily, he sat heavily on the stair beside James. "What do you think?" James' grandfather began, nodding toward the endless rows of green. "It's amazing!" James replied energetically. "This will all be yours someday, kiddo." his grandfather replied. "When your grandmother and I pass away, I want you to keep this farm going. Our family has been here for generations, living off the land. This is where we belong." James sat wide-eyed at his grandfather, absorbing every word. James' grandfather grinned a bit, and raised one dirt-encrusted hand, ruffling his grandson's hair.

The Avengers: My second best films of all time

The last time I see myself crazy on movies/series was my highschool/teenage years when 'Meteor Garden' and F4 came out. And now, I can see it all over again in me, lol. I am hooked into this superheroes and feel in love with one of them (lol). The moment I knew that they're going to make a movie with it, I was really anxious. I was counting the days until the showing. I wanted to watch the premier, the night it came out on theaters but due to work schedule I wasn't able see it.  And yesterday, we finally watch the movie that I've been waiting for almost a year now. You know I'm talking about right?lol... Yeah, its 'The Avengers'!!!

I must say that this film goes above and beyond of any of those Marvel superhero movies. Don't get me wrong, I love Iron man, Captain America and especially Thor on their successful single movie. Each of them has its own characters. But putting it all together in one was just awesome! So many pick up lines that made me laughed so hard. The sound effects were amazing, perfect casts and actors, great story and so many humors!  You'll surely not be bored. Truly worthy of all the compliments and the record they had so far. 'The Avengers' is definitely in my top 2 of the best films ever made in my opinion. I was entertained. I'm absolutely an avid and crazy fan :D.
Not to spoil you but I just wanna share some funny scenes and memorable lines in the movie :D.

Tony Stark: I thought we were having a moment.
Pepper Potts
: I was having twelve percent of a moment.

Loki: [Hulk and Loki fighting. Everything stops] I am a God! I am not going to be bullied by a...
The Hulk : [
Hulk grabs him by the legs and throws him around] Puny God!

Thor: We on Asgard pretend that we are more advanced, but we, we come here battling like Bilchsteim.
Agent Phil Coulson
: Like what?
: The Bilchsteim, you know; huge, scaly, big antlers. You don't have those?
Agent Phil Coulson
: Don't think so.
: They are repulsive, and they trample everything in their path.

Thor: He's my brother
Black Widow: He killed 80 people in 2 days
Thor: ...He's adopted

me: ....LMAO!!!!

Can't wait to get my grub on at Chili's and try a new #CoronaRita

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Chili’s Grill & Bar for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

This weekend, the family and I will be heading over to Chili's for a group birthday. There are so many birthdays in April/May for our family, so we like to save everyone the time and hassle and celebrate them all together. This year we are meeting at Chili's for dinner and I can't wait to try out some of the dishes there that I haven't experienced yet. I am tempted to try the Fajita Trio combo, which comes with grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp to fill your tortillas with(and fajitas have always been a favorite of mine), or even the Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadilla looked very tempting as well. Though I think my husband and I will share the 2 for $20 deal, that way we can both get what we like plus an appetizer for a great price. I think I'll be having the Texas Cheese Fries and the Margarita-Grilled Chicken, and he can get the quesadilla so I can try some of his meal as well. They sound like a good accompaniment to the CoronaRita I've been looking forward to. It's a blend of Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and Coronita. This definitely sounds like a refreshing drink to add to our meal. And we will be going there on Cinco de Mayo so what better time to give it a shot!

So let me ask you all, what is your favorite dish at Chili's? Do you go there for the steak, burgers, or the delicious mexican-inspired dishes? Maybe you can sway my decision and help me to find a new favorite on the menu. Also, who here is thinking of trying a CoronaRita at Chili's as well?

Always Remember: You must be 21 years or older to drink alcoholic beverages and as always, please remember to drink responsibly

I'm not sure if some of you seen the documentary called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" . Its about guy who was a 100 lbs overweight suffering from a disease, loaded with pills and medicine. He was fat, sick and nearly dead. In order to regain his health, he had a personal mission. He started juicing fresh fruit and vegetables for 60 days with no solid food. It was a really inspiring documentary. I highly recommend to watch it!

So much for that, hubby and I got inspired and bought juicer couple months ago and didn't even use it until now, lol. We're not really on a diet, we just want to be healthy. And if you don't like to eat fruits and vegetables like my hubby, this is a great way to take them into your body by turning it into juice!

So what we had was 3 pcs. of carrots, 3 stalks of celery, 4 leaves of lettuce, 1 pc. of pear, 1 pc. of orange and 2 small pcs. of apples. That's it! It was really good I'll tell yah. From now on, we will be juicing everyday. Try it for yourself ;).

A perfect day to stroll around and do stuff. It is weekend and no wonder it was busy when we got there. It was an hour away from our place, totally worth the drive to just see these beautiful and coloful tulips. I was wowed!!! Since it was my first time to see different varieties of tulips in a huge farm. I was prepared, lol. I have my camera with me and took a bunch of photos ;).

Helpful Tips in Preparing the Perfect Cheesecake

One of the most popular desserts is cheesecake. It is served in several varieties of flavors and textures. It is available in all fine restaurants everywhere. However, you don't have to go to fine restaurants in order to enjoy this dessert. You can prepare it with perfect result right in your very own kitchen. There are some tips that can help you make the perfect one for your dessert.

Use first rate, high quality ingredients

When making a cheesecake, you have to make sure that you only use the freshest ingredients and a full-fat cheese. You need to start all ingredients at room temperature in order to produce a creamy and consistent result. The same thing is true when you need to use eggs. If the recipe doesn't require flour, then you need to add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the sugar before mixing into the batter. This will lessen the chances of the end product from cracking.

Use a springform pan

Springform pans are the best utensil for this kind of dessert that requires baking. The pan, which has a removable bottom and interlocking buckle sides, offers easy removal of the product. Always remember to grease the side of the pan to avoid sticking. Tap the side of the pan gently prior to baking in order to remove any bubbles that can cause the cake to crack. Baking them in a water bath produces a rich, moist and creamy texture.

Avoid over baking

It is best to bake them at a minimum amount of time that is suggested in the recipe before you open the oven to check them. When the center of is slightly moist, you can remove it from the oven because it will continue to bake after it has been removed from the oven. Only after it has completely cool down, run a knife blade around the pan and remove it from the pan.

Add some finishing touches

Always take the cakes out from the refrigerator 30 minutes before you serve them. This is to ensure that they warm to room temperature before serving. It is always advisable to garnish them with sauces and fresh fruits before serving. Use a sharp knife that has been warmed by dipping hot water to cut it into desired slices.
Gourmet cheesecake is the best way to end any meal. Always experiment with the recipes, perfect your techniques and add new flavors. A few tested tips will make the dessert very delicious that your family and friends will never forget.

Teen Mom 2

I appreciate the guest post, Rodrigo Coffey

Teen Mom used to be one of my favorite shows to watch on my DVR. I would come home and if it was on there I was watching it. Now that the original cast of teen mothers is no longer on the show and we have moved on to Teen Mom 2 I am hardly interested. I used to really like the moms on the first show with the exception of one. Macy and Farah were my favorite. I loved Macy’s country accent because she is from my neighboring state of Tennessee. Farrah was interesting to me too because of the relationship she had with her parents. Why was she always calling her dad Michael? Was he her real dad or her step dad? Also, her relationship with her mom was way out of the realm of what I would consider normal. They were always fighting and even had to call the cops once. The new moms on Teen Mom 2 I’m sure are super awesome but I just didn’t click with them. Check out tvbydirect to check them out for yourself.

Maxi dress

My friend and I went to Ross couple weeks ago just to browse. She found this very cute maxi dress and she thought it will look nice on me. I'm not really into long dresses like this but I guess I would give it a try. So I ended up buying it ;).  It was originally 30 dollars but i got it for $13.99 which I believe a good deal. Now I can't wait for summer and wear it! What do you think?

Nothing special, I just wanna show you what we had for dinner tonight from Baja Fresh. A family member gave us gift card plus we have coupons as well. Organize using Clipix

Recently, I've been having a hard time remembering my most recent searches and have to struggle to find the site I visited all over again. It would be easy if it was one of the first couple of links on the returned search, but it usually is obscured somewhere in the first 10 pages of results.

I was turned on to clipix by a friend recently and it has saved me a ton of time. Clipix is a small add on that you attach to the browser's toolbar just like a bookmark. When you find a webpage that you like, you just click the Clip button and it saves that site for you on a customizable clipboard. You can arrange these clipboards any way you want, and choose to share them with your friends or keep them private if you would like. There is even a board called a Syncboard in which all members that are partaking in that board can see anything that is posted on it by the other members. This is a really cool thing to use to share interests and great finds with your friends or family. Below is the screenshot of my clipix.

I suggest giving it a try and seeing how it can organize your online life. So tell me readers, what are you going to use Clipix for?

Visiting LA

***Guest written by our friend Mason Abbott***

I went to visit my friend Maggs in California. My visit was long overdue. She moved to Los Angeles three years ago. Honestly, time goes by so quickly, I fell like she only moved just a year ago. Anyway, we had a really great time. She took me to see all of the famous sites. She laughed because she hadn’t had time to visit them yet. When she got out there, she had to find a place to live and a job really quickly so that she was going to be able to stay. We had such a great time and took lots of pictures. I used her clear wireless internet Los Angeles connection to upload some of the pictures that we took to Facebook so that our friends and family could see them. We had so much fun, I just can’t wait to go back. I think that I might could live in California. I absolutely love the weather. I especially love being so close to the beach. I want to take my sister with me next time that we visit. I think that she would really enjoy it!
